I used Blogger this year to show the progress of my work throughout my advanced portfolio, blogger helped me keep up to date and document my work also in my foundation portfolio. I could put all my research and planning that
i used the internet throughout the research and planning stage. i researched stuff like horror trailers on the website youtube to help me with sounds and editing of horror, the internet was also used for audience feedback i used the social networking sites facebook and twitter to help me decide on the best tagline.
I used ishowu throughout the process of making my poster,magazine and trailer as a way of showing the moderator wherei was upto and what was the next stage of the process, i also used it to show of my skills on photoshop and to show me working on the program prezzi.
I used this program as a way of showing my potential production names for our trailer for example working title, spiral fims, my groups names were also included in the word it out, as a group with discussed and decided to use spiral films as our production name.
i used the program solvr for some ideas for our potential trailer taglines , the program asks a question so in my case potential film trailer taglines, i then came up with 4 different taglines and listed them below the question. i used audience feedback and discussions with my group to decide on The Retribution as our tagline.
Word is a program i have a very good knowledge of as i have been using it sinca a very early age, its a very simple program to use. I used this programme for when i wanted to write scripts or make a questionaire for my audience feedback, i also used it for my production documents such as shot lists, risk assessments and location recee's
I used this program to create my publication, Microsoft excel is another program i have good knowledge about as i also used in my foundation portfolio. I used this program to list all the tasks i had to do, i then had to plan and write down dates for when i was going to do each of these tasks.
We only used power point a small amount during the research and planning process and then i mostly used it for my evaluation. I have a good knowledge of power point so it was handy for when i wanted to document my work and keep a note of where i was up to on each task.
We used this program to create a sound test at the beginning of our work.As a group we used garageband and we created something similar to what we would do for our trailer. we learnt new skills on the program as neither of us had used the software before.
I used Facebook and twitter for most of my audience feedback, i used it to give me advice on big decisions for my magazine, poster and trailer because i believe research to the audience is the best way to make sure your audience is happy. The decisions i asked my audience were things such as the film title and the film tagline.
My group and i used our phones as a main way of organising what days we were going to film, and what we all needed to bring to the filming date. it was a simple easy way of organising and knowing what were doing.
I used youtube as a way of resaerching into existing trailers that were the same genre as mine. My role was cimatography so i used it to look at the way the chracters were dressed, the props used and the lighting of the trialer. The trailers i looked and anaylised were parnoarmal activity and saw 1.
Photoshop played a big role in my work, i used it to produce both my magazine and poster, because we used it in our foundation portfolio i had basic knowledge of the program, i then alot new skills such as the colour balance tool which added great effects to my images. I also used photoshop to create my green scene, which was a newsreader background.
I used the SLR for my pictures, i took pictures for both my poster and magazine. I used these camera's last year si i had basic knowledge but this year i learnt new buttons so i could make my images look alot more clearer and look alot better quality. I also used the SLR for my cinematography to show evidence of me doing the make up and costumes
As a group we used the camcorders for a variety of things and had our own tape to record it on, we also had a tripod where we could sit the camera on top so for when parts of the trailer had to be kept still we could do so. We used the camcorder for filming parts of the trialer, auditions for the trailer and the sound test.
imovie was used to put together and edit the whole of my teaser trailer movie.My group and i had never used this software before so we were all learning new skills together, we did struggle to find alot of things on the software but we got there in the end. everything was uplaoded to this software including the sound.
