In what ways does your media products use, develop and challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
In my poster, magazine and trailer i have used, deveopled and challenges froms and conventions of real media products.
Conventions which I have used from real media text
The coventions i have used from real media convention's is
- i've used a montage effect (kuleshov method) this is a selection of different shot which are edited by jump cuts to each shot.
- I used the final girl theory (Carol clover) where one of my chracters survives but through the whole film she was terriosed
- Titles and production logo's at the beginning
- The hair and make up of the possessed girl.
- Build up of sound throughout the trailer
- sound effects on jumpy parts
The coventions i have developed from real media convention's is
- i've not only used the tripod and camera but i've also used my phone for like a handheld effect.
I did this because when students are drunk at party's they take video's and picture's to remember good nights, a horror film that has used the hand held effect is the blair witch project.
The coventions i have challenged from real media convention's is
- Our narrative is abit more different, normally it's an outsider who kills there victims but in our film, its one of there best friends who kills them.
